Leaving a Bequest
A Gift to the Generations to come
A will is a way to show your care to your family members, local church and others who have been important to you throughout your life. Making a will can give peace of mind knowing your special wishes will be honoured.
Can you imagine a better legacy than contributing to the outstanding work of your local church? Because of you we have seen and will continue to see more people coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. People younger and older continuing to grow in their Christian walk.
Shepparton Church of Christ has a very clear vision to continue Loving God. Our Goal is to reach community and beyond with the news of Jesus Christ.
Your will is an expression of your wishes and values. You can be sure your gift achieves something positive and lasting when you include Shepparton Church of Christ in your will. Your bequest will enable us to provide a strong Christian home for Christians to invite friends to as well as reaching out through mission giving across our state, our country and across the world. You will play a vital role in this with your support.
Once you have ensured you have taken care of your loved ones, your bequest to Shepparton Church of Christ can take a number of forms:
We at Shepparton Church of Christ trust you will pray about this significant decision. Matt6:20 (NIV) But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
We recommend you consult a Trustee or qualified solicitor who will ensure that your wishes are clearly and legally stated. The accepted wording to make a bequest to the Church is as follows:
“I give and bequeath to Shepparton Church of Christ
The official receipt of the organisation will be sufficient discharge to my Executors/Trustee”.
It’s never too late to make a difference in the world. Leaving a bequest is one of the most significant ways to do this, reaching forward to the future generations to come.
